As the President of Cricket Association for the Blind in India ( CABI) it gives me immense pride to be the host nation of the 2nd T- 20 World Cup for the Blind 2017.It will be a privilege for our Blind cricketers to compete with best blind cricketing teams from 10 nations, as they battle to clinch the World Champion title.
Sports is a medium of inclusion and certainly cricket being a religion in India, helps inspire millions of people across all barriers. As a young man being visually impaired, I was always excluded from playing cricket and had to be part of the Game from the sidelines. As I started playing Cricket for the Blind not only did it motivate me but also helped to become what I am today.
I am raising funds for our champions who are truly an inspiration for millions of people. I urge you to help me motivate these visually impaired, extremely talented young cricketers who are representing our country and making us proud. I need your support to motivate and inspire several other budding cricketers all across the nation whom might be currently playing by the sidelines.
