Product Description

Dear Friends,

As the President of Cricket Association for the Blind in India ( CABI) it gives me immense pride to be the host nation of the 2nd T- 20 World Cup for the Blind 2017.It will be a privilege for our Blind cricketers to compete with best blind cricketing teams from 10 nations, as they battle to clinch the World Champion title.

Sports is a medium of inclusion and certainly cricket being a religion in India, helps inspire millions of people across all barriers. As a young man being visually impaired, I was always excluded from playing cricket and had to be part of the Game from the sidelines. As I started playing Cricket for the Blind not only did it motivate me but also helped to become what I am today.
I am raising funds for our champions who are truly an inspiration for millions of people. I urge you to help me motivate these visually impaired, extremely talented young cricketers who are representing our country and making us proud. I need your support to motivate and inspire several other budding cricketers all across the nation whom might be currently playing by the sidelines.

Mahantesh G K
President CABI

About the Fund Raiser:

Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar, Founder Managing Trustee Samarthanam, President CABI

Sri Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar was born in the year 1970. Mahantesh lost his vision due to Typhoid when he was 6 months old. But he proved to be a visionary and established.

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled along with his schoolmate and good friend SP Nagesh.

Mahantesh completed his Primary schooling from Shree Ramana Maharishi Academy for the Blind and Higher Education from National College, Bangalore. He acquired his Masters Degree and M Phil from University of Bangalore. Mahantesh is a first class academician and an ardent admirer of English Language and History. He started his career as an English lecturer at University Law College, Bangalore.

But his inspiration and calling was elsewhere. He wanted to ensure all possible support to persons with disabilities by providing education and sports facilities on par with their non disabled peers. He wanted to see persons with disabilities become tax payers and not dole recipients. Thus began the journey of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled. Ever since its establishment, Samarthanam Trust, under the able leadership of Mahantesh, has been providing education, livelihood facilities, infrastructure, technology and a plethora of other need based support to disabled and underprivileged. He wants to ensure that sufficient opportunities reach each and every person both in academics and sports.

Mahantesh serves as the President for Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI).
